Północ

After the lazy Południe ("Midday"/"South"), the time has come for Północ ("Midnight"/"North"). Polski Piach consists of musicians associated with the Warsaw improvisation scene and the Lado ABC record label. After their very well-received debut release, Południe, exploring the sound of primal blues from the badlands, the band makes a step forward and presents a new album, recorded in a slightly different line-up, featuring Patryk Zakrocki on guitars, Piotr Mełech on bass clarinet and Piotr Domagalski on basolia. The title – Północ – conveys the dark, dense atmosphere of their new compositions, based on blues guitar pulsation, but also drawing on Polish sonorism and folk music.
