Ciastko

A 11 track noise rock album (45m 48s) — released January 25th 2019 on Gusstaff Records

Sometimes we talk about artists that are ahead of their times. Surely, the Polish band Ciastko ('Biscuit') is one of them.

Ciastko was one of the first Polish noise-rock bands in the early 1990s. Unfortunately they released their only cassette in 1992. The tape was recorded in a studio of Student Radio in Szczecin and it received enthusiastic reviews in the music press. In 1993 the band disappeared and no new material was released. The band's music contains clear inspirations from the American noise scene of Amphetamine Reptile or Trance Syndicate but Ciastko had their own style in the noise-rock genre: weird, wild, anarchic and poetic at the same time. Ciastko had lyrics in Polish, German, English, French and even Latin.

This release contains the material from Ciastko's first and only cassette, recorded and remastered from DAT-tape found 26 years after their debut...
